Stop motion used in films.

Stop motion film are getting fewer and fewer thanks to the advance in technology. Stop motion now is only made by few people who still have a passion for it, the most well know would be Tim Burton for his work on ‘ nightmare before Christmas’ and Henry Selick for was work on ‘Coraline’.

Stop of stop motion was used for fantasy/mythical creatures to make the come to life, move around and interact or what seemed to look like the creatures were attacking a man in a sword fight. At the time that stop motion that was used for this reason was very believable and left people wondering how they did it.

Introduction

Aim: The assignment aims to enable learners to develop skills and understanding of the design process and skills in applying this in the creation of art and design work.

Brief: When developing designs to meet the requirements of a brief, the development cycle used is vital in ensuring effective outcomes. The application of a design methodology ensures that all significant factors in creating a piece of work are considered in a structured way. Designers need to be able to develop and communicate their ideas and concepts through 2D and/or 3D skills.
